DAVIESS CO., Ky. (WFIE) - The teen charged in the murder of another Owensboro teen has been sent to adult court.

We are told his name won’t be released unless he’s indicted.

The teen was arrested earlier this month.

“I wanna see him not let out,” Nancy Henry, Corban’s mother said.

Corban Henry, 15, was found with single gunshot wound in the 1500 Block of West Fifth Street in Aug. 2020.

“I’m just honestly going to have to get myself together where I can make it through this trial,” Henry said.

A grand jury is set to meet this summer. Corban’s mother hopes by that time, court will be back to normal.

“It makes me feel a lot more powerless,” Henry said. “I appreciate seeing people face to face and them knowing and feeling my energy in that courtroom because I promise you, I don’t have to say anything.”

We are told the boy could be facing up to life in prison.
