EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - Numerous students at the University of Evansville are set to graduate this weekend.
A year after they were originally supposed to walk across the stage, the class of 2020 finally got their commencement ceremony at the Ford Center on Friday.
14 News spoke to three former Aces who shared the same thankfulness that their day to shine finally came around.
“I’m really thankful for them going on with the show, and moving forward with everything,” UE graduate Hannah Myers said.
“It’s definitely exciting and fun,” UE graduate Aimee Savoie said. “It’s kind of like a mini reunion with a lot of them.”
“We finally get to feel like we had a closure to our four years together in college,” UE graduate Libbey Huffine said.
The class of 2021 will graduate on Saturday.
Those in education, health sciences, engineering and computer science will graduate at 10 a.m.
Those in the College of Arts and Sciences and the School of Business Administration will graduate at 7 p.m.
