HENDERSON, Ky. (WFIE) - Authorities say crews responded to a crash involving two vehicles on Friday afternoon.
According to the Henderson Fire Department, the accident happened in the area of Mill and Madison St.
Fire officials say one of the vehicles came to a rest on its roof. Several units were on scene for a few hours.
The Henderson Police Department told 14 News on Sunday that Emmanuel Prince was traveling west on Madison St. when he left his lane and continued into the eastbound lane where he hit another vehicle. That’s when police say Prince left on foot.
According to HPD, Prince was found a short time later trying to get into another vehicle a few blocks from the crash. After failing to follow the officer’s commands, police say he left on foot for a short distance before being apprehended.
While resisting arrest, police say officers tased Prince.
We’re told Prince was taken to Deaconess Henderson Hospital for a medical evaluation before being taken to the jail.
The driver of the other vehicle was also taken to Deaconess Henderson Hospital for minor injuries, according to police.
Prince is charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of drugs, resisting arrest, leaving the scene of an accident/failure to render aid and 2nd-degree fleeing or evading police on foot.
