EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - Hundreds of thousands of dollars are currently at work to study violence in Evansville.
The Evansville Board of Public Works approved $380,000 for the study, which will be performed by the “National Network for Safer Communities.”
Their goal is to reduce group and gang violence.
“They did really have a great deal of success with this program,” Marco Delucio, Counsel for the City of Evansville said. “Many areas of the country, which is one of the reasons the administration was drawn to them.”
The “National Network for Safer Communities” has already started working with the Evansville Police Department.
