The Women’s Hospital at Deaconess Gateway announces 1st ever Chief Medical Officer

NEWBURGH, Ind. (WFIE) - A new role has been announced for a doctor in The Women’s Hospital at Deaconess Gateway.

In a press release, Deaconess Health announced that Dr. Brennan Fitzpatrick is now the Chief Medical Officer for The Women’s Hospital.

Fitzpatrick has served as the Medical Director of Prenatal Medicine and Ultrasound since 2008.

Deaconess says he will continue to serve in that capacity, as well as his clinical role.

His primary focus as CMO will be to serve in an administrative role for The Women’s Hospital.

Deaconess says he’s been a key player in helping The Women’s Hospital achieve their Level III and Perinatal Center designations.

Dr. Fitzpatrick says his goal is to continue striving for greatness.

“I am so passionate about the work that we do here,” Dr. Fitzpatrick said. “I think that we are unquestionably the best specialty hospital in the state. I think that we really strive to be the best at everything that we do.”

Dr. Fitzpatrick is a Louisville native. He received his medical degree from the University of Louisville.
