VANDERBURGH CO., Ind. (WFIE) - A three-car crash in northern Vanderburgh County temporarily closed down the northbound lanes of Highway 41 at Mt. Pleasant Monday morning.

It happened just before 6 a.m.

When deputies arrived, they say they found an unconscious woman in the passenger seat of a silver Cadillac DTS.

They say a witness stated that the Cadillac was eastbound on Mount Pleasant Road, when it ran a red light at US 41.

They say a 2008 silver Equinox was northbound on US 41 and crashed with the Cadillac.

The Cadillac then crashed with a 2017 blue Equinox, which was in the westbound lane of Mount Pleasant waiting at the light.

Deputies say the driver of the Cadillac was taken to the hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

The passenger, who was still unconscious, was also taken to the hospital by ambulance.

The drivers of the blue and silver Equinoxes were not hurt.
