Kentucky House, Senate passes broadband internet bill
KENTUCKY (WFIE) - Rural parts of Kentucky are a step closer to faster internet.
The Kentucky State House and Senate unanimously passed a bill on Wednesday that opens the door for partnerships to bring broadband service to areas of the commonwealth that are currently unserved or underserved.
The General Assembly called access to faster internet speeds a critical part of a sound economy and the general welfare of the state.
