Castle HS will not accept results from rapid COVID-19 tests

NEWBURGH, Ind. (WFIE) - Castle High School is no longer recognizing results of rapid COVID-19 tests.

Principal Jim Hood says because the Indiana State Department of Health has determined rapid tests of showcasing a high rate of false negative results, those tests will no longer be accepted for school purposes.

Hood says the Warrick County School Corporation will now only recognize a negative test result from a polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test.
