EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - The woman who once accused an area doctor of rape, has now been charged with misdemeanor false informing.

That’s according to a probable cause affidavit filed this month in Vanderburgh County.

Rebecca Blair first made the allegations in March 2019, but admitted they were false in September 2020.

As we reported, the civil suit filed in Warrick County against Dr. Nirmal Joshi was dismissed.

Joshi’s attorney says Blair also issued a public apology for making false statements.
