KENTUCKY (WFIE) - On Monday, the Green River District Health Department reported two COVID-19 related deaths and 164 additional cases.

Of those new cases, 58 are in Daviess County, 51 are in Henderson County, 24 are in Webster County, 16 are in Ohio County, 11 are in Union County, three are in McLean County, and there’s one new case in Hancock County.

Green River health officials say the new coronavirus-related deaths included a resident of Daviess County and a resident of Webster County.

The district has recorded 14,678 total cases since the start of the pandemic. Officials say 10,636 residents have recovered from the virus.

The Hopkins County Health Department’s coronavirus dashboard is showing 56 new cases from over the weekend. Since the beginning of the pandemic, the county has seen a total of 3,090 cases. Of those cases, 1,935 residents have recovered.

Hopkins County currently has 1,046 active cases.

The Muhlenberg County Health Department is reporting 27 new cases. They say there are 278 active cases in the county.

The health department says they are currently vaccinating Tier 1A clinical health care workers and first responders but will be able to vaccinate those age 70 and older and non-clinical health care workers soon.

Health officials are asking health care workers, first responders or those age 70 and older to call 270-608-4811 to schedule an appointment if available.

Muhlenberg health officials tell 14 News patients who have tested positive for COVID-19 and were provided monoclonal antibody therapy, also called Bamlanivimab, must wait 90 days before receiving the COVID-19 vaccination.

He reports 2,085 new coronavirus cases and 21 additional deaths.

The governor states 16 of those 21 reported deaths are not in a long-term care facility.
