EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - The lottery keeps climbing, and between the Powerball and Mega millions, jackpots sit at nearly $1 billion.
We stopped in Friday afternoon at the Everest Food Mart on Diamond Avenue to see how sales have been.
One employee says they’ve been selling tickets constantly, but not everyone is jumping on the lotto bandwagon.
“I don’t buy them because my dad says I’ll probably end up owing them money, and there’s no point in wasting that money that I need for other thing. I got lucky enough to spend my last dollar on a $1 lottery ticket, won $50, and ever since that.. loser,” said a customer.
The drawing for the mega millions was Friday night, and Powerball is Saturday.
