EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - If you are wondering where your latest stimulus check has gone, your tax service might have it.
We heard from a Tri-State woman who says she checked the “Get My Payment” feature on the IRS website.
Kasey Wilkins says it showed her stimulus money from the spring was deposited directly into her account, but the new stimulus money was deposited into an account she didn’t recognize.
After asking around, and hearing from friends who said the same thing happened to them, she says she learned the money had been sent to her tax service, H&R Block.
Kasey says H&R Block told her she would get her money in a day or two.
H&R block says many second stimulus payments were deposited on Emerald Cards or to customers’ bank accounts, depending upon how 2019 tax refunds were received.
Emerald Card customers can call 1-866-353-1266 and receive stimulus payment information by entering the last four digits of their Emerald Card account.
All other customers can call 1-800-HRBLOCK and by using a Social Security number, may be able to receive automated second stimulus payment information.
