OWENSBORO, Ky. (WFIE) - A restaurant in Daviess County is looking to help local area kids.
Wonder Whip hosted a fundraising event on Thursday by donating 100% of all sales to the Goodfellows Club.
The proceeds will go to help children in need in Owensboro.
Cars were lined up down road during Thursday’s lunchtime rush, and dozens were standing at their carry-out line.
Wonder Whip owner Seth Woodward says his business has been blessed to stay open all year long, and thought this was a great opportunity to give back to the community.
“It’s great - it shows that Owensboro cares, and Owensboro is here for those who need it,” Woodward said. “We’ve had a phenomenal turnout so far. We’re doing everything we can just to keep up with the volume.”
For those who want to donate to the cause, Wonder Whip is open on Thursday until 9 p.m.
Woodward believes they will raise more than $5,000 from Thursday’s sales.
