ILLINOIS (WFIE) - Gov. Pritzker is gave his COVID-19 update Friday.
He discussed rent and mortgage help for people impacted by the pandemic.
Illinois reported another record high of 15,415 new COVID-19 cases and 27 deaths.
Officials said there were some technical problems in reporting, and the number of deaths is likely higher. They say the next day totals will probably be a high number since it will include some of the Friday total.
Illinois' now has at least 551,957 total positive COVID-19 cases and 10,504 deaths.
Wednesday, Illinois' health department issued new guidance, urging residents to stay home and only leave for “essential activities.”
Here are the total number of coronavirus cases and deaths reported in our area:
- Wayne County - 708 cases, 23 deaths
- White County - 392 cases, 7 death
- Wabash County - 364 cases, 6 deaths
- Edwards County - 153 cases, 2 death
