CARMI, IL. (WFIE) - Voters in Illinois headed to the polls Tuesday.
The line moved smoothly at the fairgrounds in Carmi.
While we were there, the line never reached outside.
One voter we talked to said she hopes everyone exercises their right to vote, and she is ready for the country to move forward, whatever the outcome.
“It doesn’t matter who you vote for, you just need to put a vote in so that we can get 2020 behind us and start fresh in 2021,” said Carmi Resident Brenda Jolley.
There are still move than two hours left to vote in Illinois. The polls there close at 7 p.m.
