DNR starts fish renovation at Chandler Park Lake

CHANDLER, Ind. (WFIE) - The Department of Natural Resources will start a fish renovation at Chandler Park Lake Monday.

Officials say the goal is to eradicate all fish from the lake.

They say they’ll be using a fish toxicant.

DNR officials say the project was a success and have plans for making this a better spot to fish.

“It’s great to be able to do that in the town of Chandler like this where a lot of people have access to this lake,” said DNR Biologist Dan Carnahan.

Later this fall, officials say they’ll restock the lake with bluegill and largemouth bass.
