DAVIESS CO., Ind. (WFIE) - Indiana State Police say there was a crash Friday that claimed the life of a Washington woman.
It happened in the northbound lanes of I-69 at the 58 mile marker.
Troopers say the crash area covered approximately 350 feet of roadway.
They say 24-year-old Keirsten Arp, of Washington, Indiana, was driving a moped north when 25-year-old Jessica O’Bryan, of Evansville, hit her with her car.
Troopers say O’Bryan was also heading north, but didn’t see Arp and hit her from behind.
Arp was killed. Troopers say O’Bryan was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
They say she’s charged with Operating a Vehicle while Intoxicated Causing Death and now in the Daviess County Jail.
The northbound lanes of I-69 were closed for approximately two hours.
