HENDERSON, Ky. (WFIE) - The Kentucky State Police are investigating a fatal wreck in Henderson County.
Authorities say they received a call regarding a two-vehicle wreck in the 11000 block on US Highway 41-A, south of Henderson, just before 3 p.m. Wednesday.
Troopers say 60-year-old David Edwards of Clay was driving a SUV northbound on US 41-A when a dump truck was traveling southbound.
Troopers say for unknown reasons, Edwards drove out of his lane and into the path of the dump truck, resulting in a head-on collision.
Edwards was pronounced dead at the scene by the Henderson County Coroner.
They say the driver of the dump truck wasn’t injured in the wreck.
US 41-A was closed for over three hours while KSP reconstructed the accident.
They say the investigation is ongoing.
