ILLINOIS (WFIE) - Gov. J.B. Pritzker and his team announced 894 newly confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 41 additional deaths on Thursday afternoon.
Illinois is currently reporting 139,434 total coronavirus cases.
As of Thursday, 6,810 residents have died from complications with COVID-19.
According to state health officials, more than one million COVID-19 tests have been administered across the state, including 31,686 tests over the last 24 hours.
This is the first time that over 30,000 tests have been performed in a single day in Illinois.
All four regions of Illinois are set to begin Phase 4 of the state’s reopening plan on Friday.
