IL surpasses 2,500 total deaths from COVID-19

ILLINOIS (WFIE) - Gov. J.B. Pritzker and his team announced 2,450 newly confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 105 additional deaths on Saturday afternoon.

Illinois is currently reporting 58,505 total cases across the state.

So far, 2,559 residents have died from complications with COVID-19.

According to state officials, nearly 300,000 tests have been performed in Illinois, including 15,208 in the last 24 hours.
