ISP releases name of Winslow man who died in fatal crash

PIKE CO., Ind. (WFIE) - Indiana State Police has identified the Winslow man who died in a fatal crash on Friday morning.

ISP and the Pike County Sheriff’s Ofice responded to the crash on State Road 64 near Meridian Road in Pike County around 10:10 a.m.

Investigators say 33-year-old Anthony Woolsey was driving his pickup truck when for unknown reasons, he drove into the path of a Freightliner truck and collided with it.

The Pike County Coroner’s Office pronounced Woolsey dead at the scene.

The driver of the Freightliner truck, 47-year-old James Coffey, and his passenger, 46-year-old Jason Gordon, were both transported to Jasper Memorial Hospital for non-life threatening injuries/

State Road 64 was closed for nearly four hours while authorities investigated the crash.

The investigation is still ongoing.
