ILLINOIS (WFIE) - IL Gov. Pritzker gave his daily coronavirus update.

IL Gov. Pritzker and his team announce 1,980 new positive cases of COVID-19. This brings the total of confirmed positive cases in Illinois to 45,883.

They say 50 lives have been lost to the virus over the last 24 hours.

Gov. Pritzker and his team say 227,628 tests have been conducted throughout the state.

His team says the CDC announced six new symptoms, including chills, repeated shaking with chills and muscle pain.

The CDC said last week, fever, cough, shortness of breath and difficulty breathing were symptoms of COVID-19.

Gov. Pritzker says he wanted to clear up any confusion about dentist offices. He says under the executive order, dentist offices did not close.

The Illinois Governor says dental procedures are limited to urgent procedures.

On Sunday, the Illinois coronavirus map is showing we have four confirmed cases in our Illinois counties.

  • Wayne County - 2 cases
  • White County - 1 case
  • Wabash County - 1 case
