HANCOCK CO., Ky. (WFIE) - 85 new jobs are coming to the county.
Envision Modular, which manufactures prefabricated single and multi-story modular buildings, is planning a $25 million investment to refurbish an out-of-use facility in Hawesville.
Judge Executive Johnny Roberts says this means big things for the county.
“Well certainly its good news for us," Roberts said. "This buildings been vacant for approximately 14 years and with this number of jobs getting things back on the payroll, it’s exciting news. We have a viable workforce in our community so we’re looking forward to working with them.”
Company leaders plan to locate in 200,000 square feet of the former Alcoa building in the county’s industrial park.
Phase one of construction begins in 30 to 90 days with phase two coming this summer.
