Jasper police unveil new SRO vehicles

JASPER, Ind. (WFIE) - Jasper High School resource officers are getting new rides, and students helped design them.

Officers are connecting with students through a recently donated 2019 Dodge Ram Truck and a 2020 Ford Mustang.

12th graders Cecilia Sanchez and Lexi Ford, along with a Jasper High School graduate, made the designs on the outside of the vehicles.

Tuesday was their first time seeing the finished product.

“Officer Knies came in and said they wanted somebody to help design a police car, and we just went for it," Lexi Ford told 14 News.

Jasper police say several people donated to make those cars possible.
