OWENSBORO, Ky. (WFIE) - Crews in Owensboro responded to a crash on Friday where 13 vehicles were involved.
Authorities say it happened in the 1700 block of the Wendall Ford Expressway.
According to the Daviess County Sheriff’s Office, the driver of the front vehicle slid when he braked for the vehicles in front of him. When that driver slid, he hit the guardrail, causing a chain reaction for the other 12 vehicles behind him.
The sheriff’s office said that out of those 13 vehicles, there was only one injury reported by a woman who was pregnant and struck in the stomach by her airbag. She was taken to the hospital to make sure the baby was okay.
They say five out of the 13 involved vehicles had to be towed due to being disabled.
