40 more jobs lost at Dotiki Mine in Webster Co.

WEBSTER CO., Ky. (WFIE) - Dotiki Mine in Webster County is closing February 7.

According to a WARN notice that was just filed, that’s when the remaining 40 employees will lose their jobs.

The notice says the employees include three office workers, one prep plant worker, eight employees of the surface shops and yards, and 28 underground workers.

The last day for hundreds of Dotiki Mine workers was back in August.

The mine had been in operation since 1967 and employed more than 200 people.
