EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - A person was taken to the hospital during a shots-fired call in Evansville.

Police reports say officers heard those shots around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday in the area of south Weinbach and Conlin Avenue.

EPD says they took a juvenile suspect into custody about two blocks from the scene.

The suspect had a gun, but that gun did not match the six shell casings that were recovered from the scene. This led officers to believe there is another suspect involved and they are actively investigating to find out who that is.

EPD tells us the victim’s injuries are non-life threatening and the juvenile is now facing a preliminary charge of possession of a firearm by a minor.
