WEBSTER CO.., Ky. (WFIE) - Officials have identified the man who was pulled from the Green River at the Onton Boat Ramp on Thursday.
Ronald Dennis, 70, of Sebree, was identified as the man pulled from the river by the Webster County Coroner.
According to the Henderson Emergency Management Director Kenny Garrett, it appears Dennis was trying to get to a boat that had drifted away.
Garrett says multiple agencies were part of this recovery effort. Dennis was pulled from the water around 2:30 p.m. Thursday.
Kentucky Fish and Wildlife officials says Dennis went fishing early Thursday, but didn’t come home. They found his boat, truck and trailer on the bank before finding his body.
Authorities tell us his death appears accidental.
An autopsy is scheduled for Friday in Louisville.
