PRINCETON, Ind. (WFIE) -The annual Labor day parade started at 9:00 a.m. Monday.
It’s the 133rd Labor Day Celebration. The Labor Day parade rotates between Princeton, Booneville, and Petersburg every year.
Families upon families packed in along Main Street in Princeton today to watch the parade go by. The Steiner family comes out to watch the parade every year it comes to Princeton...kicking off a day of activities for them.
“Just to get some candy for her and watching it, we used to march in it when I was in high school and it’s just a fun family event,” said Amanda Steiner.
“I just enjoy seeing the people and having the day off you know from work," followed Matt Steiner.
The two said that the parade starts their day before they host a bonfire later on in the evening.
The fun continues in the afternoon with rides at the Gibson County Fairgrounds.
