DAVIESS CO., Ky. (WFIE) - Kentucky State Troopers are investigating a single-vehicle wreck Tuesday that killed an Owensboro woman.
Troopers say they were notified of the wreck around 5:40 p.m. by Daviess County authorities.
The investigation shows the victim, Ashley Dennis, 38, was going westbound on US 60 Bypass near KY 54 when they say, for an unknown reason, lost control of her car.
KSP says it appears that Dennis oversteered and slid into the median where her car rolled over and ejected her.
Investigators say she wasn’t wearing a seat-belt and excessive speeds may have contributed to the crash.
The investigation is ongoing.
KSP says it’s unknown at this time if drugs or alcohol played a factor in the wreck.
