New grant for health program at USI

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - University of Southern Indiana’s College of Nursing and Health Profession has been rewarded $5.4 million to improve health outcomes for underserved populations.

Officials say most of it will be used to implement a new program for older adults and some to develop a nurse practitioner residency program for the under served.

We’re told the school will work with Deaconess and other local agencies to implement the five year project.
