Madisonville Sunday alcohol vote ends in a tie

MADISONVILLE, Ky. (WFIE) - Sunday alcohol sales didn’t get approved by Madisonville City Council.

The City Council vote came down to three votes for the ordinance and three votes against it.

Mayor Kevin Cotton’s vote would’ve been the tiebreaker, but he didn’t vote.

Mayor Cotton tells 14 News that a reworded ordinance could be introduced again as soon as the next City Council meeting.
