EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - The home of an elderly Evansville woman has been hit by gunfire, for the second time.

Gloria Ferguson, 85, tells us her Judson Street home was hit with 40 rounds of gunfire when she was out of town in December.

Read that story here.

Early Sunday morning, her home was hit again with about seven rounds. This time Gloria was home with her granddaughter and great -grandchild.

No one was hurt.

“I know God’s got me. I know he’s got me, so no bullet will ever hit me, but it’s tearing my house up,” says Ferguson.

Ferguson is assessing the damage after the sound of gunfire woke her early Sunday morning. About seven bullets hit her house, adding to dozens of other bullet holes from the December incident.

“The first time I was in California and got a call saying that I had shots in my house. This time I’m home, so that’s kind of close,” says Ferguson.

She was still trying to replace windows when this happened.

“Terrible because I don’t know what’s going on. I don’t know what’s going on,” says Ferguson.

Evansville Police got a possible car description. Ferguson says a man saw a maroon peanut butter drop top car.

Police tell us they have not yet located a car or suspect.

“Police haven’t said anything about the first one yet. Now they’re saying they’re really going to research and see what’s going on with the second because that’s too much. That’s too much,” says Ferguson.

EPD says there have been gang issues on the block, but they are not sure if this shooting is gang related or not. After living a quietly there for 26 years, Ferguson just wants to know why.

“You know I’m in my house. You know bullets have no eyes,” says Ferguson.

Police are investigating but are not sure what prompted this event.
