EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - The rain didn’t holding everyone back from storming Franklin Street for the 17th annual West Side Nut Club Cruise in.
The Nut Club says this isn’t the first time its rained during the event, but rain or shine, they always have a great community turn out.
People got a chance to show their cars, trucks, and bikes, ranging from newer models to the classics.
Every year the Nut Club tries to recruit at least 200 cars, but with the weather, meeting that goal was a little harder than they expected.
“It’s definitely holding the cars back, but I’m happy for the turn out we’ve had. You just gotta make lemons when you get lemonade. It rained last year, same thing, same time. Sun came out afterwards so you never know. You never know how it could turn out,” said Event Chair Corey Hicks.
