GIBSON CO., Ind. (WFIE) - Around 500 people are without power in Gibson County and it could be a while before they get it back.

Duke is estimating it power won’t be back on for those affected customers until after 1 a.m. Thursday.

There are several trees and power lines down in Princeton. Broadway is closed at Hall Street due to a tree blocking the entire road.

One family was having dinner at their home in Patoka and three tree limbs fell on their roof.

Soon after that, the wind broke a tree into several pieces that became scattered all over the road.

No one was hurt.

You are advised not to approach the areas where power lines are down because the lines may still be live.
