Neighbors told us a fight broke out on the corner of Madison Avenue and Akin Drive.

As tensions escalated, shots were fired.

“Officers immediately arrived in the area initially unable to locate a scene. Anytime you deal with an incident like that with multiple shots, multiple calls, it’s going to be chaos in the area” said Officer Phillip Smith.

Less than a mile away, and 10 minutes later, EPD received another shots fired call in the 500 block of Morton Ave.

Witnesses told dispatch they heard about 8 gun shots in the area.

One home owner says she found at least five bullet holes in her house from last night

“Whenever we get these incidents, and these calls, we follow everything and we go through with a fine tooth comb. We don’t rule out anything until we look at everything” said Officer Smith.

Police are not sure if these incidents are related.

They are asking that anyone who saw anything or knows anything about these incident to give them a call.

No arrests have been made.
