OWENSBORO, Ky. (WFIE) - Candidates in Kentucky are working hard on the campaign trail prepping for next week’s primary.
Republican candidate for Governor of Kentucky, Robert Goforth, and his pick for LT. Governor, Mike Hogan, made a stop in Owensboro on Thursady afternoon.
Goforth spoke about the drug epidemic and tax reform. He criticized his opponent, current Governor Matt Bevin, saying that Kentucky wants someone who can have a “people first agenda” and not sell out the state.
One of the biggest issues that Goforth wants to address if elected is to help fix Kentucky’s state pension plan.
The Kentucky primary is on Tuesday, May 21.
