Henderson’s Habitat for Humanity hit 3rd time in 7 months

HENDERSON, KY (WFIE) - Thieves strike again at Habitat for Humanity of Henderson.

Early Monday afternoon, an employee was about to take Habitat’s brand new delivery truck in for signage and found that someone had taken a saw and ripped parts out of the frame underneath.

They think the thief was going after the metals in the catalytic converter and the wiring to sell for recycling.

This is the third theft at Habitat of Henderson in the last seven months.

“We had a trailer broke in over on Atkinson Street. They stole about $8 thousand worth of tools. And then here about five-six weeks ago, they cut into our gated fence area out here and they stole about $5 thousand worth of tools there. I don’t know what we’ve done, if we’ve made somebody mad or what," said Larry McDowell, Construction Manager.

If you know anything about this, you are asked to call Henderson’s Habitat for Humanity at 270-826-0015.
