WEBSTER CO., KY (WFIE) - There’s a new way for people in rural western Kentucky to ask for help when they get in a rut.

As we reported back in March, plans had been in the works to create Green River 211 and it went live Monday in Webster County.

Calling 211 connects you with someone from United Way so they can help you find resources like food banks, housing assistance, child care, legal aid and more.

The hotline is confidential, and it’s available around the clock.
