Hall Hits Provisional Mark in Split Weekend

EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE) - The University of Southern Indiana men’s and women’s track and field team along with junior Nathan Hall (Springfield, Missouri) wrapped up the regular season over the weekend in two different meets with a new NCAA II provisional mark.


Two individuals traveled to Naperville, Illinois for the Dr. Keeler Invitational hosted by North Central College. Hall posted a personal and USI best on the season in the 3,000m steeplechase with an NCAA II provisional mark of 8:59.91 for second place.

Hall now joins USI junior Hope Jones (Cumberland, Indiana) as the two Eagles who await to see their fates for the NCAA II National Championship with their provisional marks.

In the same meet, sophomore Gavin Prior (Mattoon, Illinois) finished 37th overall in the 5,000m with a time of 15:12.05.


Junior Calvin Sander (Jasper, Indiana) and freshman Haley Allard (Glen Carbon, Illinois) both competed in the Javelin in the Falcon Finale hosted by Montevallo. Allard finished second with a throw of 98′4″ while Sander finished ninth with a distance of 144′11″.


Hall and Jones have a chance to compete at the NCAA II Outdoor National Championship meet on May 23-25 in Kingsville, Texas on the campus of Texas A&M-Kingsville.
