Two people taken to hospital after two separate shootings in Evansville

EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE) - Police responded to two shootings in Evansville Tuesday night.

The shootings happened just a couple minutes away from each other.

The first shooting happened around 8:30 p.m. near the intersection of 41 and Bellemeade. About ten minutes later, police say there was another shooting at the intersection of Blackford and Kentucky. Police say seven gunshots were reported in one of the incidents.

When police arrived at the scenes, they found two victims who were both taken to the hospital. No word on their condition.

Police are saying the shootings might be connected, but can’t say for certain at this point.

No other details about what happened are available right now, but we’re told this is still an active investigation.
