Crossroads hires new lead pastor

NEWBURGH, IN (WFIE) - After a five-month search, Crossroads Christian Church has hired a new lead pastor.

Phil Heller previously served as the Executive Pastor of White River Christian Church in Noblesville, Indiana for 13 years.

Prior to his time at White River Christian Church, Heller served on staff at Crossroads as the Student Ministries Pastor and as the High School Pastor from 1996-2002.

"I am excited to welcome Phil and Christie Heller and their children to Crossroads and to our Tri-State community,” said Crossroads’ Elder Chairman, Matt Volkman, “Phil has a great history and connection to our ministry at Crossroads, and he provides for a God-inspired, bright future. Phil is a man of humility, character, and integrity with a gift to communicate relationally.”

“I am excited about rejoining the Tri-State community,” said Heller “and I look forward to pursuing the collective vision among Evansville area church leaders to see the Tri-State be a place where everyone flourishes.”

The churches elders have picked Heller for the final candidate. Members are asked to to participate in his approval process by a vote of affirmation.
