POSEY CO., IN (WFIE) - The Posey County task force executed 29 search warrants early Friday.
We’re told 17 agencies, and 100 law enforcement members made it happen, calling it Operation Guillotine.
Marijuana, meth and more than $10,000 were seized during the drug raid.
Officials say at least 38 people were arrested on outstanding warrants and other charges in the largest drug raid in Posey County history. That number could still climb.
“There is a lot that goes into this type of investigation and not only the man hours that are put in but the money, the logistics, all of those things are compiled, the totality of those things is what makes this happen,” Posey County Sheriff Tom Latham said.
It was a big finale for months of undercover work, that now goes to the courts.
“Thankfully all warrants and arrests were made safely. Officers were able to do so safely. I think law enforcement sent a clear message today that if you are dealing drugs in Posey County we will find you and you will be held accountable,” said Thomas Clowers, Posey County Prosecutor.
Those arrested on warrants: Lana Black, Daniel Choate, Matthew Creek, Dwayne Delaney, Terry Holbrook, Jamie Lueder, Abbie McCarty, Daniel McCarty, Derek McCarty, Ashley Mosley, James Neighbors, Macer Ours, Kevin Owen, Kristina Phillips, Jeremy Ricketts, Andrew Rollins, Damian Schile, Andrew Schmitt, Karen Sitzman, Deandrea Smith, Jerome Stewart, Connie Stone, Amanda Turner, and James Walker.
