NASHVILLE, TN (WFIE) - Indianapolis Colts fans will have to sit and wait a little longer for this year’s draft choice, not that any would complain about that.
In 2018, the Colts had one of the best drafts in history with two selections that turned into All-Pro members, OG Quenton Nelson and LB Darius Leonard.
So who will the Colts take with their first round pick this year?
A pair of mock drafts have the Colts addressing the defensive line with the 26th overall pick.
Pro Football Talk’s Mike Florio has the Colts selecting Clemson DT Dexter Lawrence. Florio says the decision for Indy is based off taking the best player available and addressing an area of need.
Josh Norris, NBC Sports, thinks the Colts will also go for a D-linemen in Notre Dame’s Jerry Tillery.
The consensus seems to be that the Colts will be looking for defensive help, whether it be the D-line or another position.
In Chris Simms’ mock draft on NBC Sports, he has the Colts taking Safety Johnathan Abram, Mississippi State.
2019 NFL Draft coverage from Nashville begins at 7 p.m. CDT.
