EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE) - Some Southern Indiana Allstate Insurance volunteers rolled up their sleeves for some spring cleaning at Ark Crisis Child Care Center.
The volunteers spent the morning doing yard work around Ark’s facility.
They helped hose down some playground toys along with lots of other outdoor work.
Allstate officials say it’s a great team building exercise while giving back to youth programs.
“Not only can we help them financially with some grant money, but this allows us to come in and do some volunteer work for the community so that Ark Crisis Center doesn’t have to pay for that type of work. That means that money gets funneled right back into the program for children," said Tod Wilson, Allstate Insurance Agent.
With this work today, volunteers have helped Ark qualify for an additional $10,000 grant by the Allstate Foundation.
