EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE) - Some CAPE Head Start Early Learning Center students had quite the Easter egg hunt on Friday.
Ivy Tech hosted the kids for the second annual hunt. Kids scattered around the student center filling up their buckets.
They even had an appearance by the Easter bunny himself.
Ivy Tech staff says it is a fun way to spend the afternoon, while learning some lessons as well.
“It’s a community college so we want to connect all aspects of the community starting at the youngest age possible," Wendy Chinn, Ivy Tech Financial Aid Adviser, explains. "It’s exciting to have them come over here and be able to offer the Easter bunny to them. Some of them will love him, some will be afraid of him but more importantly they all like the goodies they get to take back with them.”
More than a thousand eggs were found in just a couple of minutes.
