EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE) - A traffic alert for drivers in Evansville.

One of the stoplights at the intersection of Washington and Boeke was knocked to the ground just before midnight.

Evansville police say a driver had a medical issue and their car took took out a fire hydrant and the box that controls the stoplight there.

Our crew on scene said the surrounding area still had power, it was just the stoplight that was knocked out.

The driver was taken to the hospital, but no one else was hurt.
