Sneak peek inside Evansville’s first Costco

EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE) - While it wont be open to the public until June, Mayor Lloyd Winnecke got a look inside of the new Costco building.

On Wednesday, Mayor Winnecke toured the store and posted photos from inside on his Facebook page:

‪Enjoyed the tour yesterday of the new Costco on the east side. 200+ employees to be hired initially with expected opening in late June. Welcome to Evansville!

According to the Mayor’s post, more than 200 people will be hired for Costco’s opening.

Evansville’s first Costco building is being built on Cross Pointe Boulevard, as part of the “The Promenade” area on the east side.

The Cross Pointe Blvd. location is expected to open in late June.
