EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE) - The primary election is just three weeks away, but many aren’t showing up to vote yet in Indiana.

The Vanderburgh County Clerk reports less than 100 people have voted early at the Election Office.

Clerk Carla Hayden says that’s in part because there aren’t many hot races.

But, she’s hopeful more will show up in the coming weeks, taking advantage of early voting before Primary Day.

“One of the best-kept secrets is the easiest place to vote is the Election Office. There is very rarely a line here, and it’s in and out. It’s very quick. People who have done it and have never done it before say ‘well, this is easy. I’m going to do this all the time,’" said Hayden.

Starting April 29, you’ll also be able to vote early at the library.

If you have any questions, please call the Election Office at 812-435-5122 or head over to the Vanderburgh County website.
