EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE) - The Indiana Commission on the Social Status of Black Males hosted it’s 9th annual Indiana Black Barbershop Health Initiative on Saturday.
The event provided free cardiovascular health screenings at 7 different barbershops around Evansville.
According to the Indiana Department of Health, African American men have the highest mortality rate of any group in the state.
